The setting is absolutely perfect for a relaxed, peaceful breakaway from our crazy rushed lifestyles! Our cottage, Kliphuis, situated close to theriver, was absolutely perfect for the purpose of our stay. It can sleep four adults, extremely comfortable double bed in the bedroom and two single comfortable beds in the open plan well equipped kitchen/bedsit area. The bathroom has a shower plus a bath....using fresh mountain water which was also delicious to drink. The view, while braaing on the stoep, of the stunning sunsets behind the beautiful mountains, was breathtaking. The sound of the river trickling over the rocks just added to the total feeling of tranquility. The huge bonus for us was the totally private outdoor jacuzzi which made it feel like being at a far more expensive upmarket spa!! Waking up to the birdsong followed by an early morning walk to feed the Zebra, Donkeys and horses was good for the soul! Even my "fur child", Lady Lulu, my very fussy and spoilt cat, thoroughly enjoyed this new experience....walking on her lead, smelling every bush and plant...chasing the odd insect and simply lying in the shade of a tree watching the Weaver birds making their nests in the trees on the river's edge. We could go for a dip in our own private section of this river as well. So Swemgat gets a 110 % from us in every way possible! Well done all concerned... we will be back for sure! The talented, freespirited and inspiring artist, who is busy upgrading and decorating the cottages using her very special talents, is a transforming Swemgat Cottages in to the perfect getaway!! Let us not forget the indoor fireplace that will be enjoyed during the Winter months!

The best holiday ever! We were in Langhuis and felt so private and secluded. We spent most of our days in the private rock pool and this was just heaven! It was so relaxing that we decided to make this our new family holiday destination.

Boskloof Swemgat is a place to relax and unwind. It is very rustic and quiet set in a stunning little hide-away.

This was our first time at Boskloof and could not choose a better place to have a family Christmas. Very peaceful and so close to nature. The hike up the mountain was breathtaking. If you have small children this is the place to go to.

This is a must if you want to break away from the rush of the city noise. So peaceful with the river flowing in the backround. Perfect starset at night and the fireplace gave a very cosy atmosphere.

Absolutely LOVED it! So often a picture of a place is misleading but it is every bit as charming as the picture looks. Definitely somewhere I'd like to return to. Hospitality excellent. Beautiful walks. Two days there far too short and that's my only complaint.
